Use the Share button to give specific teammates access, open a page to your whole Bidlo team, copy its internal link, or publish a supported view as a read-only website.

Choose the right audience

Before you share a link, decide who should be able to open the page.

Share with specific teammates

Use individual sharing when only selected people should have access.

  1. Open the page you want to share.
  2. Select Share in the page header.
  3. On the Share tab, select Search people or emails....
  4. Enter a teammate's name or email address, then select the person.
  5. Choose Can view when the person only needs to read the page, or Can edit when they should be able to change it.
  6. Repeat for each person who needs access.
  7. Select Copy link, then send the link to the people you added.
  8. Select Done.

The people you invited appear under People with access. The page moves to the Shared section for you and the invited teammates. If the page was in public, inviting specific people moves it out of public and into Shared.

If Bidlo does not find the email address, the search field can offer to invite that person to the team. Team invitations may depend on your role.

Share with everyone on your team

Use team access for plans, dashboards, reference material, and other work that every member of the current team should be able to open.

  1. Open the page and select Share.
  2. Under General access, select the current access setting.
  3. Select Everyone at [team name]. In the ACME workspace, for example, the option reads Everyone at ACME.
  4. Confirm that the panel says Anyone on the team can open it.
  5. Select Copy link, then share it with your teammates.
  6. Select Done.

The page appears under public. The Share panel also explains that everyone on the team can see it.

Change or remove someone's access

  1. Open the page and select Share.
  2. Find the person under People with access.
  3. Open the access control beside their name.
  4. Choose the new access level, or remove the person.
  5. Select Done.

The change takes effect immediately. When you remove the last individually invited person, the page returns to private. The owner remains listed under People with access.

Publish a page as a website

Some page types include a Publish tab in the Share panel. Publishing creates a separate, standalone site for viewing the page without opening the Bidlo workspace.

  1. Open the page and select Share.
  2. Select the Publish tab. If the tab is not present, that page type does not offer website publishing from this panel.
  3. Under Who can view, choose one of the available audiences:
    • Anyone with the link allows anyone who has the site link to open it.
    • Team members must sign in requires viewers to authenticate as members of your team.
  4. Select Publish.
  5. Copy the published site link and test it in the same way your intended audience will open it.

The published website is read-only and stays in sync with the Bidlo page. Data, layout, filters, and the title update on the site when they change in Bidlo. A published page also shows a pulsing indicator on its Share button.

To change a published page, return to SharePublish. From there, you can copy the site link, change who can view it, or unpublish the website.

Before sharing sensitive or important work:

  • Reopen Share and review People with access and General access.
  • Confirm that each editor needs permission to change the page.
  • Check whether the page contains embedded custom apps. Page access and app access are separate, so a teammate may be able to open the page but not the app.
  • Open nested pages that collaborators will need and check their sharing state.
  • Test the internal or published link as the intended audience when possible.

FAQs

Does moving a page to Public publish it on the internet?

No. In Bidlo, public means available to the current team. Use the Publish tab when you need a read-only website.

Why can someone open a shared page but not its embedded app?

The page and app have separate access settings. Give the person an appropriate role on the custom app as well.
