Turn on web access when your request requires current outside information, then state what you want researched and how you will use it.

Decide when web access is needed

Use workspace context for information already stored in Bidlo. Use web access for information that may have changed or does not live in your workspace.

Examples include:

  • a current agency notice;
  • a recent market or company update;
  • an outside reference needed to compare with Bidlo data.

For a task that needs both, mention the Bidlo record and explain which part requires outside research.

Turn on web access

  1. Open a chat prompt.
  2. Select the + menu.
  3. Find Web access.
  4. Toggle it on.
  5. Enter a request that identifies the topic, location, and timeframe.
  6. Ask the assistant to include the supporting sources.
  7. Send the message.

The setting applies to the chat prompt where you enabled it.

Write a research request

Include boundaries that make the answer useful:

  • what should be researched;
  • which geography, agency, or company matters;
  • how current the information must be;
  • which Bidlo record or file should be compared;
  • what format the answer should use.

For example: `Using @Project Name as context, research current public notices from the owner and summarize anything that could affect the bid date. Include the source links.`

Verify the result

Open important source links and check their dates before using the result for a decision. If the assistant cannot find a source, narrow the request or provide the known website or document as context.
