Create reusable team instructions and use them from an AI prompt.
2 min read · Reviewed

Use a skill when your team wants Bidlo AI to follow the same specialized instructions repeatedly.

Understand skills

A skill is a named set of team-authored instructions. Skills are useful for workflows that need a repeatable method, format, or decision rule.

In the prompt menu, Add Skill inserts a skill into the current request. In AI settings, the Skills section is where the team creates and manages its instructions.

Find team skills

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Under Features, select Bidlo AI.
  3. Select Personalization.
  4. Find Skills.

If the team has not created a skill, the page displays No team skills yet.

Create a skill

  1. In Skills, select New skill.
  2. Enter a name that describes the job.
  3. Add a short description.
  4. Write the reusable instructions.
  5. Save the skill.

Use a name that a teammate will recognize in a prompt, such as a report or review workflow rather than a person's name.

Use a skill

  1. Open an AI prompt.
  2. Select +, then Add Skill, or type /.
  3. Choose the skill.
  4. Add the record, file, and outcome for this run.
  5. Send the request.

The skill supplies the reusable method; your prompt supplies the current job and context.

FAQs

When is a skill more useful than instructions in one prompt?

Does using a skill give Bidlo AI additional access?

No. A skill supplies instructions; available information and actions still depend on the current user, team, and permissions.
