Export views

Download the records represented by a supported view.
2 min read · Reviewed

Download the records in a table view as an Excel or CSV file, or save the visible page as a PDF or website.

Prepare the view

The export uses the current view, so set up the data before downloading it.

  1. Open the table view you want to export.
  2. Apply the filters and sorts that define the records you need.
  3. Show the columns you want included and arrange them in the order you want.
  4. Review the visible rows and column headings.

Export the view

  1. Select More (⋮) in the top-right corner of the view to open Page settings.
  2. Under Data & actions, select Export.
  3. In the Export dialog, choose a format:
    • Excel downloads an .xlsx spreadsheet.
    • CSV under Data downloads a .csv data file.
    • PDF downloads the visible page as a .pdf.
    • Website exports the page for viewing as a website.
  4. Save the downloaded file when your browser prompts you.

KML appears in the Export dialog but is unavailable for a table view. Use a Map view when you need a KML export.

Check the exported file

  1. Open the downloaded file in a compatible application.
  2. Confirm that the expected records and columns are present.
  3. Check dates, numbers, and other formatted values before sharing or editing the file.
  4. Return to Bidlo, adjust the current view, and export again if the file contains the wrong scope.

Copy data for an API or JSON workflow

The Export dialog also provides Copy API request and Copy to JSON. Use these options when you need to move the view data into a technical workflow instead of downloading a document or spreadsheet.

FAQs

Does an export include the entire collection?

It uses the current view and its scope. Check the visible fields, filters, grouping, and records before exporting.

Will the exported file update when Bidlo changes?

No. An export is a separate snapshot, not a live connection or a complete backup of the underlying collection.
