Export KML
Export a Map view when you need to inspect its pinned locations in another KML-compatible mapping tool.
Before you export
KML export is available for Map views. Position the map over the area you need and confirm that the intended located records are pinned and visible.
Export the map
- Open the Map view.
- Open the view settings.
- Select
Export. - Choose
Export KML. - Save the downloaded
.kmlfile.
The export uses the current map area and pinned located documents. A record without a usable location cannot appear as a mapped feature.
Verify the file
- Open the
.kmlin a compatible mapping tool. - Confirm that the expected area opens.
- Compare several points with the Bidlo Map view.
- Check that sensitive locations are appropriate for the people who will receive the file.
KML is a portable copy. Changes made in the external tool do not update the Bidlo records, and later Bidlo changes do not update an earlier export.
If the export is incomplete
- Return to Bidlo and confirm that each missing record has a location.
- Check the map filters and current area.
- Pin the records you intend to export.
- Export again and compare the new file before sharing it.

FAQs
Why is a record missing from the KML file?
The export uses the current map area and pinned records with usable locations. Confirm the record is located, pinned, and inside the area you intend to export.
Does KML export change the map or its records?
No. It creates a file for use in another mapping tool and does not edit the Bidlo view or its underlying records.
