Connect a compatible Model Context Protocol client to the Bidlo team you are currently using.

Generate the configuration

  1. Open Settings → MCP.
  2. Under Configuration, select Generate key if no usable key is available.
  3. Copy the complete configuration shown by Bidlo.
  4. Store the key securely while you configure the client.

Use the generated configuration exactly as shown. Bidlo builds the MCP endpoint from the current product environment, so do not replace it with a hard-coded host from an older guide.

Add it to your MCP client

Follow the compatible client's instructions for adding an MCP server. Paste the generated server configuration into the client's MCP settings, save it, and restart or reconnect the client if required.

The current configuration uses mcp-remote and sends the Bidlo key in an authorization header. Anyone who can read that configuration may be able to use the key.

Verify the connection

First, ask the client to find a known project in the current team. This confirms the connection works without creating or changing anything.

Confirm that:

  • the client reports the Bidlo server as connected;
  • results come from the intended team;
  • a known record can be found;
  • the test doesn't create or change any data.

If a saved key no longer exposes a copyable secret, generate a new key rather than trying to reconstruct the old one. Remove the unused key after the new connection works.

If the connection fails

  • Copy the current configuration again from Settings → MCP.
  • Check that the client supports remote MCP servers.
  • Confirm that the JSON or settings format is valid.
  • Restart the client after saving its configuration.
  • Revoke and replace a key that may have been exposed.
